-This song has a
special meaning to me. As a little girl my mother always told me how I had big
brown eyes, and every time this song came on she would sing it to me. Now till
this day my mother and I will turn the song up and sing it to one another. I
have a special bond with my mom, she is my best friend and between her, and me
this song means something to our relationship.
2. The Man by Aloe

-Recently, I had a
very tragic death occur in my life. One of my best friends from back at home
was stabbed and murdered to death. This individuals name was Joey and he was
only 19 years old. He was the most positive, good spirited person you could
have ever met. Joey had a special place in everyone’s heart. He touched our
entire town with nothing but good thoughts and memories. Loosing him was very
hard for me because I had known him for five years and he was also my best
friends boyfriend. After this death, I have realized that Joey was the man. He
will be, forever and always. I love you joey.
3. California Gurls

-California Gurls
relates to my friends and I. Friendships are very important to me, and within
my group of friends there are five of us. We all love to have a good time and
do new things. We are planning on going on vacation in the summer, and we all
talk about how we love being down south on the beaches. If my friends and I
lived in California like we all wish, I think this song would explain
everything we would do. The amount of fun we
have, and the love we all share is a special bond.
4. Unwritten by
Natasha Bedingfield
-This song has a
special meaning to me. All throughout my life I have been a unique individual.
No one can quite understand me, or the things I do. I can’t tell the future or
what is to come but that’s what excites me. I have big hopes and dreams of
going far in life, I want to be successful and move down south. I am in the
process of furthering my education and eventually I want to have a big career.
I look at life as one big opportunity. It’s your decision wither you branch out
and take the stepping stones to broaden your horizons. I believe that this song
does a great job at portraying the message that you can do anything, and I live
by that.
5. Go Getta by Lil
Wayne
-One big aspect of my
life was my soccer career. I have been playing since I was 5 years old. I grew
to love every part of this sport, and I love my teammates. Over the years I
have gone through micros, midgets, travel, premiere, and varsity soccer. Your
team is like a family you would do anything for. Everyone works together to
achieve a goal and the bond that you have is irreplaceable.
Most interesting- Entry number 2, this is because Joey was also one of my good friends. Steph and I both know how it feels to not have him here anymore and we both miss him more than anything.
ReplyDeleteThe fourth entry is also interesting to me because Steph is my best friend, roommate and sister. I know everything about her and I too believe she will grow up to be something great when she is older. And I know her life will be great.
The third entry captures my attention because I am her best friend, the post is partly about me and our friend group is seriously so awesome and I love those girls more than anything.
The fifth entry about her soccer career also relates to me because I played soccer my whole life so I was very interested when I was reading it. It’s funny because that is how Steph and I first met, even though we are from different towns.
Lastly, the first entry about her mom is amazing because I know the relationship between her mother and her is just like my mom and I so I can relate to it a lot.
The first entry is the most interesting to me because it impacted my life in a major way also, Joey was not only my good friend but he was dating my best friend. So his passing affected our whole friend group and made us really open up our eyes. I will never get over his death but I will learn to live with it. He will always be in my heart and for the rest of my life I will remember him as the most selfless, loving human to walk this earth. There are so many things that will trigger my memory and bring me back to the days where we would hang out all the time. I am so happy that I have Steph to go through this horrible time with.
The fourth entry was also very personal for me, since I live with Steph I know her better than she knows herself, vice versa. Steph really is one of a kind, I guarantee you that you will never find another girl like her. She has more confidence than most people and will do anything and everything to make her friends happy. I love her to death and she is the sister I never had. She is going to do great things in life with all her determination and her strive to be the best.
For these two entries, if Steph was to write an essay I would love to hear about all the good times with Joey, not just write about his death. I want to hear how they became friends, basically everything since day 1. Also I would like to hear about her personal struggles that she has gone through and how she has overcame every single one.
Nothing is unclear or confusing because Stephanie is my other half, her struggles are my struggles.
She couldn't have picked a more perfect song for her entries. She picked "The Man" for her first entry about Joey. This is so accurate because he touched so many lives, all the guys wanted to be him, everybody loved him. He truly was the man, I could only hope to be as amazing as he is one day.
For her fourth entry she picked the song Unwritten. This song is really meaningful to me and can really connect to her entry. Even though she has gone through so much her story is not finished and she will accomplish even more as she gets older.
“Oh my god Joeys dead Steph! Joeys dead!”… It was that call I frantically woke up to at 4 P.M. that would forever change my life. Could this really be happening to me?
1.) The first post interested me the most because there is truly no relationship like any other than that of you and your mother.
DeleteThe fourth post is my next favorite because if you actually think about it, the future is literally unwritten. While we control our own destiny, at the end of the day some things are out of control.
Having to wake you and Dani up at 4 A.M to tell you that Joey had died was honestly the hardest thing I've had to do in a while. Seeing my two best friends hurting and sad was something I hope I never have to go through again.
Go GETTA! (I gave you this song) but this song is an inspiration to any athlete honestly.. it talks about the true and pure struggle that athletes go through day in and day out.
California Girlz! This is my least favorite simply because I know extremely well how corny you, megamind, bucky, brooke, and panny are. =]
2.) I truly think that post number one would make a great autobiographical essay. You and your mother ARE SO close, and I've seen it first hand. So I'd love to hear about the little things that I don't know about yet. And next i think writing about the unwritten would be great, there's so many things that you could get into.
3.) I'd love to hear more about the little things that have brought you and Momma Riccio together and so close. And while the future is more than unwritten.. I'd love to hear about what you have in store for yourself.
4.)) Everything seemed clear to me.
5.) The song choices fit perfectly, they embody what your own personal true meaning is behind each song.
6.) Though the future is unwritten, I plan on going about accomplishing many endeavors in the future and bettering myself any way possible.
The most interesting to me is Stephanie first post. I love that bond you have with your mom. I think bonds with parents are a beautiful thing. Moms always hold a special place in our hearts. I also like post number three because friendship is another special bond. Having a good time with life is always an important thing and to go out and explore the world is also a great thing to do. It would be cool if she explained more of why her relationship with her mom is so special. Nothing was too confusing I think it all came out clear. I think the songs do explain these very well.

ReplyDelete2. I’m so sorry for your loss. I was brought to tears just reading what you had to say about it all. I practically cherish my friends and treat them like family. You made me feel what you were feeling. The fact that you can see it as how you should appreciate what you have in life is something I would sadly grasp from a death too. Things like this change your perspective on life.
3. lol live it up girl! Cali is BEAUTIFUL. I love my friends and I’ve been partying since I was 18 with them.. hope you get to meet new people like I have that will literally travel the world with you. You put a smile on my face just thinking about all the amazing, crazy times I have had since 18-23 lol I know you will make great memories with them. ENJOY!

1.I can only picture you and your mother singing together and it’s a beautiful picture in my mind. I feel the love you share as a mother to daughter. I wish I had that! Family is everything and I’m glad you have that bond with her.

I picked the positive and negative events of your life. In my mind I tend to see the bad but out of it you learn to love your family your friends and everything you are passionate about. Its like after the storm comes the sun. it’s the little light that starts up the fire in you.
If we could know what it felt to know such an amazing individual.. that your friend was it would be nice to know him through your eyes.
