4R

While going through the writing process, there is a step that many people fail to achieve. Peer review is something that will help your writing tremendously, and help you excel throughout your college career. Throughout high school this skill was over looked by every single one of my teachers. When I got to college, it was the first time I’ve ever done this exercise.
High school seemed to do nothing but negatively affect my writing. Once I got to college I realized that I was doing everything wrong. I thought the only paper you could write was a five-paragraph essay. I had no idea was peer review was; never mind the way to set up a CORRECT thesis.

After learning about peer review, I realized how many benefits it had to me. For example you can gain a different perspective on the argument that you are taking. Most people when writing happen to be one sided, peer review can put a stop to that and make you think of the opposing side. You also are able to get feed back on your paper to seek any revisions you may need. When writing you may skip over grammatical errors or not realize that a sentence doesn’t make sense. Having your peers to help is a big plus.
